How we rank cleaners & what the data can tell you
An independent comparison directory, not a cleaning provider. Our method is reproducible, but a score is only as reliable as the data behind it.

The same calculation for every company
The score is visible on each listing. Nothing about the company name, website link, or payment changes it.
- Step 1
Start with the saved snapshot
Our dataset is labeled September 2026. It stores a rating and review count for each listing, but not the exact source profile URL, platform breakdown, or individual verification date. These figures have not been re-verified and should not be treated as current.
- Step 2
Apply one reproducible score
We blend each recorded star rating with a baseline of 4.5 stars across 50 reviews. Multiply the recorded rating by its review count, add the baseline contribution, then divide by the review count plus 50. More reviews give the recorded rating more influence.
- Step 3
No paid or manual boosts
Lists are sorted by the unrounded comparison score, highest first. Ties use review count, then rating, then company name alphabetically. No company gets a manual boost. There are no ads, paid placements, or affiliate links; ordinary website links do not affect ranking.
- Step 4
Separate edits from verification
An editorial update changes the page or ranking method; it does not mean the underlying business data was re-checked. The update date stays fixed between edits. Review-platform links are searches to help you find current details, not retained source citations.

Check the current business profile
Google Maps and Yelp links on our cards open company searches. Match the business name, address, and service area before relying on a result.
Are these ratings independently verified?
Not in the current dataset. Earlier descriptions attributed the figures to Google Maps and Yelp, but exact profile URLs, platform-specific values, and individual check dates were not retained. We cannot independently substantiate those figures from this dataset. Check the business's current profile before relying on a rating.
Does the comparison score measure cleaning quality?
No. It is a mathematical comparison of the saved rating and review count, not a service-quality test or endorsement. It does not independently assess insurance, licenses, price, availability, or local coverage. Confirm those details directly with the company.
Why can a 4.8-star business rank above a 5.0-star business?
Small review samples are pulled more strongly toward the 4.5-star baseline. A business with many recorded reviews can therefore score higher than one with a perfect rating from a small number of reviews. The displayed score is rounded; ordering uses the full precision.
Can companies pay for a higher position?
No. A company's position is determined by the same recorded rating-and-review calculation as every other company, with no paid placement or manual exception.
How can I report incorrect information?
Email home1cleaning@yahoo.com with the listing name, city, exact public business-profile URL, and the correction. Do not send private customer information. A correction request is not a booking request.
